Portals as magical doors

"In the series Portals, I work with the idea of portals as metaphors. I see the field as a door to change, boundaries, and new beginnings. Each painting functions as a passage field — a visual opening where light, color, and different media meet and create space for reflection."

The background is painted with acrylics, and the second layer is painted with oil paints. Blending the oils to match the acrylics in every single tone has been challenging and time-consuming, but the result has been very satisfying.

A selection from the series will be available as art prints on April 15th.

In Denmark and the EU, the artworks are delivered by professional art handlers who routinely manage art. If you live outside the EU, the artworks will be shipped rolled.
