SMALL WORKS

Three art prints in A4. New motifs every month.

Small works are not half works. They're the same motifs, the same paper and the same print studio as my large formats — just in a size that fits a narrow wall, a bookshelf or the space above a desk.

They can be framed and hung exactly as they are. And they're the easiest way to find out whether you want one of the works in a large size.

The paper

This is where everything is decided. A motif can be as beautiful as it likes — it's the paper that decides whether it becomes art on your wall or just a poster.

My prints are made on 310 g fine art paper in 100% cotton. Thick enough to have weight in your hand. The surface is matte and lightly textured, almost like watercolour paper, and the white is warm rather than the cold, bluish white you know from ordinary prints. That tone is what keeps a print from looking printed. The colours sink into the surface instead of sitting on top of it.

Giclée means the ink is pigment-based. It won't fade after a few summers in the living room. Hung out of direct sunlight, the colours last for decades.

Everything is printed to order. Nothing sits in stock yellowing at the edges while it waits for you.

It's the same paper whether you buy A4 or 100 x 140 cm. So what you feel in your hand is exactly what you get in a large format — just smaller.
